What sets our work apart at NEO Wood LAB is our commitment to solid wood — a living material that offers warmth, character, and an irreplaceable human touch. It is one of the most sustainable materials available, growing naturally while purifying the air around us. This benefit, however, depends on responsible sourcing, which is why we use only sustainably harvested wood.
Solid wood stands out not only for its ecological value, but for the sensory richness it brings into a space. It feels alive in your hands. It carries a warmth that synthetic materials can’t replicate. And most importantly, no two pieces are alike. Annual grain growth creates unique patterns, subtle shifts in texture and color, and distinctive markings that make every product one of a kind.
We source only the highest quality lumber, selected for its structural reliability and its visual appeal. Each wood type is chosen intentionally to best support the final design.
Wood Types

Light to dark brown tones with pronounced grain difference. Classic and versatile.

Surface Grades and Appearance
The final appearance of each piece depends greatly on the selection of the surface wood. We offer three primary grading options, each reflecting a unique aesthetic and associated cost level.
Rustic
Strong contrast in color and grain, visible healthy knots, and a raw natural look. Perfect for rustic homes, mountain retreats, and relaxed spaces.
(lower cost)
A Class
Balanced tone and moderate grain difference with no visible knots. Ideal for spaces that blend modern and traditional aesthetics.
(medium cost)
A+ Class
Our most minimalistic and refined selection. Uniform tone, subtle grain shift, completely knot-free. Tailored for sophisticated, minimalist interiors.

Colored surface finishes are also available. In these treatments, the final appearance is shaped by the chosen color and the underlying natural texture of the wood, allowing clients to achieve a custom look while preserving the material’s organic essence.

Standard Finishes
At NEO Wood LAB, we’ve made a conscious decision to work exclusively with oil wax finishes and for good reason. These finishes are made from natural or semi-synthetic ingredients, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and mindful production.
Unlike lacquered surfaces that form an artificial layer over the wood, oil wax finishes allow the material to breathe. They enrich the natural grain and intricate patterns of the wood without covering them up, preserving the authenticity of the material. The result is a surface that looks and feels real, not coated.
Oil wax finishes also offer impressive durability for everyday use. When cared for properly, they resist stains and wear effectively. And if damage does occur, it can often be repaired easily, even by the customer, with our guidance. This makes our products truly long-lasting, able to age gracefully and even develop a rich patina over time that tells a visual story of their journey.
To meet a wide range of aesthetic preferences, we offer a thoughtfully curated selection of standard finishes. These, when combined with our wood options, provide a vast array of possible combinations to suit each customer’s space and style.
A crystal-clear oil wax finish designed to preserve the wood’s true character and bring out its natural warmth.
A clear finish applied over a brushed surface that heightens the depth and contrast of the grain, making each line more expressive.
A lightly pigmented finish that subtly softens the tone of the wood for a brighter, sun-kissed appearance.
A deep, rich black finish with a smooth matte surface. Elegant, dramatic, and modern.
A deep, rich black finish with accented wood texture and matte surface. Extravagant, dramatic and invites touch.
A one-of-a-kind finish that gradually fades from deep black to reveal the natural wood tone, creating a striking visual transition.
A black finish present only in the wood grain, adding bold textured contrast and depth.
A semi-transparent brown finish with a weathered, timeworn look. Perfect for evoking heritage and rustic charm.
Custom pigmented finishes available upon request in any RAL or NCS shade, allowing for full personalization of tone and character.
