The PLICO bench takes its name from the Latin verb “to fold” – a nod to ancient sailors who would call “plico!” when arriving in port with their sails neatly folded. This heritage lives on in our mastery of wood bending, where a single solid wood panel curves tightly without interrupting the grain’s natural flow. Clever construction ensures remarkable strength while preserving an extreme minimalist silhouette – no straight edges, just a continuous organic form.


At 125cm long and 36cm deep, its slender profile adapts effortlessly to any space: as a hallway statement, a bedroom accent, or extra seating in living areas. The seating surface features subtle milling for comfort, seamlessly integrated into the bench’s fluid design. Customers may select their preferred wood species and finish, with an option for a striking two-tone treatment where the underside contrasts with the top surface. Crafted to seat two people at an ideal 45cm height, PLICO balances sculptural presence with quiet functionality.

If you’re satisfied with the quotation and the value of our products and services, the ordering process begins with an advance payment (not in full), which starts the production timeline. Typically, we complete orders within 4-6 weeks, though this may vary based on the complexity and quantity of your order. During this period, you’re welcome to visit our workshop to witness the creation of your pieces—a truly remarkable experience. Once your products are finished, we’ll send photographs of each item as confirmation, signalling that they’re ready for delivery or pickup. We strive to make the process transparent and stress-free, often delivering and setting up the products at your location. On delivery day, the remaining balance is paid, and you become the proud owner of something truly special.
